The name KREWE is derived from ‘Mardi Gras Krewes’, which are groups that come together to ride in carnival parades. The company was started in 2013 in New Orleans, when the founder got started selling his frames on a mobile bike cart at festivals around New Orleans. KREWE’s mission is to infuse creative spirit into every pair of small batch handcrafted frames. For example, the iconic frame, St. Louis, is inspired by wrought iron balconies in the French Quarter. The brand is celeb-approved - Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce, Ryan Reynolds, and Carrie Underwood have been spotted in KREWE. KREWE gives back with its Foundation, which provides access to eye care and prescription lenses to high school students in New Orleans - giving students clarity and confidence to succeed in and out of school.
